AEW Reportedly Clarify Speculation Surrounding ‘Fight Forever’s Release Date

The release date for the highly anticipated wrestling game Fight Forever is still up in the air. However, All Elite Wrestling reportedly plans on clarifying the release date. Only the “latest and greatest” news has come directly from AEW. This was reported by Max Everett of Sportskeeda on February 7.

Mixed Signals

AEW’s Fight Forever, being developed by Japanese studio Yuke’s and to be published by THQ Nordic, is the newest example of AEW’s growing influence within the wrestling world. The main competition to the World Wrestling Entertainment has been on a meteoric rise in recent years. However, Fight Forever has been struggling with setbacks on all sides. From issues with the stars and wrestlers to the aforementioned release date.

Originally, according to Bloomberg, the title was to release later this month. However, neither AEW, the publisher nor the developer have stated anything regarding a release in February. That article was later edited to say the game would be released later in 2023. There have been other rumors and supposed leaks regarding an April release of the game. However, those have also been dismissed by the company.

As for issues with the stars. Between suspensions, DUIs, and other behind-the-scenes drama, AEW has made it clear that the game’s roster of characters is in a “fluid situation.” But this doesn’t mean that stars who are currently out won’t be added later. With plans to add more content post-release assuming the game does well financially.

With AEW putting down rumors left and right. And with a soft confirmation of a 2023 release date. It’s only a matter of time until AEW officially announces the release date for Fight Forever.
